LISD to Hold Anti-Bullying Mini-Conference
The Leander ISD community is invited to attend the district’s anti-bullying mini-conference on Thursday, May 10, at Deer Creek Elementary, from 6 – 9 p.m.
The mini-conference is designed to foster dialogue among parents, students and district staff regarding bullying and prevention issues. The event will feature a keynote speaker and three rotations where participants will have the opportunity to learn more about anti-bullying strategies currently in place at LISD campuses; general bullying prevention strategies and awareness issues, with an emphasis on educating parents; and discuss how the district can improve its programs to foster a sustainable change on a campus’ culture. Feedback from this session will be incorporated into the district’s anti-bullying programs and initiatives.

Help us celebrate our amazing teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week May 7th-11th
SPLASH DAY HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER...
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, May 16th.
- don't forget to apply sunscreen before your children leave for school!! You are also welcome to send sunscreen with your child so they can have it with them while at Splash Day.
ALL Library books are due May 18th. Please help your child round those up and return them!
There will be no school on May 28th - enjoy your Memorial Day
We will end another amazing school year at Knowles on June 1st. Kids will be dismissed at 11:00!

We are so excited to have our C2 Club up and running! Our "Culture of Caring" is spreading through our school and the kids are really excited about it! We now have more than 200 members and look forward to this number growing next year! |

Student Transfers for 2012-13 School Year |
Voluntary student transfers will be permitted to other elementary campuses within the district on a space and staffing available basis. Children who currently attend the campus as a fourth grader, either as a zoned student or as a transfer student, will be permitted to attend the current campus as a transfer in the next school year, and siblings will be permitted to transfer in on a space and staff available basis. |

Every Monday at Knowles is COLLEGE SHIRT DAY! We wear college shirts every Monday to remind us that the learning we do during the week is to help prepare us for college - we are working to create a college going culture! |
