Leander ISD's Vision is that "Every student will exit our system with the same passion for learning they had when they entered, without economics determining success. Every Option Open."

Examination for Acceleration, Grades 1-12
Examination for Acceleration allows students, who without direct instruction have already mastered all content and skills in a particular grade level or course, to advance to the next level or course. These exams are available at no cost to eligible students who test during the district’s testing periods.
Students are expected to complete each exam they have registered for, therefore we ask you to be available during the testing window you have selected. A letter will be mailed home one week prior to testing dates for each testing period indicating your exact testing date and time. Note: The District does not receive reimbursement for tests not taken.
2015 testing dates are as follows:
June 15-17, 2015
8:30 am – 3:30 pm
May 20, 2015
July 20-22, 2015
8:30 am – 3:30 pm
June 5, 2015
Students will complete an application form and take a designated criterion referenced test which covers the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and major learning for the course for which they wish credit. For all of its Examination for Acceleration, the district uses tests developed by the University of Texas Extension, Instruction, and Materials Center. For Grades 1-12, UT provides review sheets in a free online printable format, available even before students are enrolled. Information can be found online at UT Distance Education Center website (http://www.utexas.edu/ce/k16/cbe-ea/about/). Students should contact the campus counselor for applications and additional information.

Do we have your email address and phone number?
This year we are making every effort to go paperless with as much of our school communication as possible. One of the things we have cut out is the printed Monthly Newsletter - we now send weekly emails that highlight things happening at Knowles as well as upcoming events. We also use the call out system for important information. PLEASE MAKE SURE WE HAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER! If you have not been receiving weekly emails, it means we don't have your information in our system. Call Mrs. Vasquez our Registrar to get your information updated so you know what's going on!
